Kelly Murphy, AICP, is a seasoned professional in urban planning and real estate services with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Real Estate Services at the NYC School Construction Authority since June 2016, Kelly focuses on capacity building for new schools through strategic acquisition and development, while overseeing market analysis and lease negotiations. Previous roles include Director of Real Estate Services at Longford Advisors, where engagement with local governments aimed to enhance planning and investment strategies, and Director of Planning for the Northeast Region at VHB, managing various urban development projects. As Deputy Mayor for Economic Development in New Haven, Kelly formulated economic policies and managed multiple departments. Early career experience includes serving as Deputy Director at the City of New York Department of City Planning. Educational credentials include a Master's in Urban Planning, Economic Development & Finance from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's in Political Science & History from James Madison University.
