Katie Chmielewski

Katie Chmielewski is a communications professional with extensive experience in advocacy and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Communications Officer at the New York Civil Liberties Union since November 2019, Katie has previously held roles at the Safe Passage Project as a Communications & Partnerships Associate and Program Assistant. Additional experience includes serving as a Supplier Diversity Associate at the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, a Communications Assistant & Members Associate at the League of Women Voters of the U.S., and a Family Advocate at Mary House. Early career experiences also include internships at the National Park Service, Marist Poll, and Féminin Pluriel. Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and French Language from Marist College, awarded in 2015.
