Lourdes Chavez is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in paralegal and legal assistance roles, currently serving as a Senior Paralegal at the New York Civil Liberties Union since February 2020. Previous positions include paralegal and legal assistant positions at White & Case LLP and immigration-related roles at the International Rescue Committee. Lourdes has also contributed as a Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives and held several administrative and support roles during academic studies. Lourdes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University Maryland, complemented by a minor in Sociology, and has also studied Political Science at Assumption University.
