Yolanda McBride serves as the Senior Vice President for External Affairs & Public Policy at The New York Foundling since March 2024, leading a team dedicated to governmental affairs, marketing, and communications to advance the organization's advocacy agenda. Prior to this role, McBride was the Director of Public Policy at Children's Aid from May 2013 to February 2024, focusing on policy and legislative strategies to benefit children in poverty. McBride's experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Mayor of New York City, where support was coordinated for major housing initiatives, and as a Senior Policy Analyst at the New York City Council, managing strategic policy initiatives across various sectors. Earlier roles include working as a Senior Project Director at the Institute for Education & Social Policy at NYU and as an Assistant Director at The Wight Foundation. McBride holds a MA in Public Administration from New York University, a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Lafayette College, and participated as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at the University of Michigan.
