John Schmeelk

John Schmeelk is an experienced sports journalist and broadcaster with a diverse background in editorial and audio content. Since June 2007, John has served as the Director of Editorial and Audio Content for the New York Football Giants, contributing as a radio pre and postgame host, podcast host, writer, and reporter. In addition, John has worked as a Play by Play and Sideline Reporter for the Northeast Conference since October 2010, covering NEC basketball and football on various platforms including MSG and ESPN 3. Prior experience includes roles as a writer and podcaster for WFAN, where John also produced weekend and evening programming, and as a guest commentator for the Oh Yeah Television Program. John's freelance contributions appeared in The Cauldron, and John provided play by play commentary for New York and New Jersey high school basketball while at Verizon Fios 1 Sports. John holds Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Broadcast Journalism from New York University.
