Allison Robinson

Allison Robinson is an accomplished associate curator at the New-York Historical Society since September 2021, where responsibilities include co-curating exhibitions and conducting extensive research related to women's history and public history. Prior to this role, Allison held the position of Smithsonian Institution Predoctoral Fellow, focusing on dissertation research at the Archives of American Art and the National Museum of American History. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. and M.A. in American History from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Yale University, Allison has also served as an instructor and fellow at several prestigious institutions, contributing to various projects that emphasize material culture and social history. Notable achievements include curating exhibitions on significant topics such as desegregation in Little League Baseball and leading public outreach initiatives for the Colored Conventions Project.
