Joseph Ditta

Processing Archivist at NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Joseph Ditta has extensive experience in archival and music accompaniment roles, currently serving as a Processing Archivist and Reference Archivist at the New-York Historical Society since November 1998, with a strong focus on public service assistance. Previous positions include Musical Director for Young Dancers in Repertory & Dance Consort, Dance Accompanist for the Charles Weidman Dance Foundation and Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts, and Editor/Engraver for Manhattan Beach Music. Joseph Ditta holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Pratt Institute and two Master’s degrees in Music Theory and Composition from Brooklyn College, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Brooklyn College.
