Katharine Staelin

Katharine Staelin is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Museum Database Administrator at the New-York Historical Society since November 2019. Previously, Katharine held roles such as Digital Curator at the Mattapoisett Museum, where a notable project involved developing an interactive historic town map, and Digital Media Specialist at the Hood Museum of Art, focusing on integrating digital collections into the museum's website. Additional experience includes leading projects for the Mattapoisett Historical Society, Creative Director for Digital Projects at The Jewish Museum, and various consulting roles in UX/UI design and information architecture. Katharine's academic background includes an MA in Medieval Art & the Digital Presentation of Art History from Columbia University, an MFA in Painting from American University, and a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from Smith College.
