Patricia Valerio has dedicated their career to research and fighting for social justice. Patricia has worked with some of the most well-known organizations in the world, including The World Bank and Smarter Good, Inc. Her experience in data analysis and research has led their to their current position as Director of Security at the NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
Patricia's work with Climate Tracker is what solidified their passion for environmental justice. As Research Manager, they led a team of researchers in producing an 80-page regional report about media discourse on plastics in Southeast Asia. Through their outreach efforts, they were able to bring attention to the report and the issue of plastic pollution in Southeast Asia. Patricia also created a series of templates to standardize a regional research project, which has helped make Climate Tracker's research more accessible to a wider audience.
In their current role at the NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY, Patricia is responsible for the safety and security of the organization's employees, visitors, and collections. Patricia works closely with the staff to develop security protocols and procedures that are designed to keep everyone safe. Patricia is also responsible for investigating any incidents that occur at the NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY and working with law enforcement to resolve them.

Patricia Valerio has a Mundus MAPP from Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Public Policy - Mundus MAPP, Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, and Central European University. Patricia also has a Master in Asian Studies (Southeast Asia specialization) from University of the Philippines, ISLA Salamanca, and Ateneo de Manila University. In addition, they have a certification from UNICEF in Introduction to Ethics in Evidence Generation and Results-Based Management.
