Ryan Oates

Ryan Oates possesses a diverse background in the arts and visitor services, currently serving as the Assistant to the Chief Curator at the New-York Historical Society since January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Membership Services Associate and Visitor Services Associate at the same institution, along with a Visitor Services Associate position at The Morgan Library & Museum. Ryan gained valuable experience as an Exhibition Curator Intern at the Binghamton University Art Museum and as a Collections Management Intern at the same museum. Additional roles include Camp Counselor at SOUTH EAST CONSORTIUM FOR SPECIAL SERVICES, INC, News Director at Binghamton Television BTV6, and Restaurant Crew Member at Wendy's. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Linguistics from Binghamton University, complemented by an earlier education at Archbishop Stepinac High School.
