Mike Swider

Mike Swider is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Market and Technologies Strategist at NYISO since September 2007, where responsibilities include managing projects focused on emerging power systems technologies and market design enhancements. Previously, Mike held various leadership roles at NSTAR, including Manager of Research & Development and Director of Strategic Planning, and was a Lead Energy Analyst, engaging in power procurement and representing NSTAR in market committees. Prior to NSTAR, Mike served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Strategic Energy and held positions at the MA Division of Energy Resources as a Senior Economist. Mike began a career in public service as a Volunteer in the Peace Corps from 1992 to 1994. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Economics from Lehigh University.
