Jj Pristanski

JJ Pristanski is currently serving as Counsel for the New York Islanders since June 2021, where responsibilities include advising on legal matters across various business domains such as partnerships, marketing, and community relations, along with drafting and negotiating numerous agreements. Prior to this role, JJ held positions as Associate Counsel at the House of Commons of Canada, where speechwriting for parliamentary debate was a key responsibility, and as Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. JJ has also worked as a Postgraduate Legal Fellow with the NFL, focusing on case strategy and grievance defense, and gained experience during law clerk roles with both the NFL and the San Jose Sharks. JJ holds a Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business Law from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Communication Studies from Carleton University, complemented by minors in Entrepreneurship and Film Studies.
