Ray Agnew, III is now in his sixth season with the Jets, enters his third year as a pro scout, after initially starting as a seasonal assistant in the player personnel department. In his role, he assists in the day-to-day logistics of the pro personnel department, monitoring league transactions, evaluating players during final cuts and free agency, while also assisting in the weekly advance report for the coaching staff.
Before the Jets, Agnew worked at the Elite Football Academy in St. Louis, helping prepare and train high school football players for potential college football careers.
After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent fullback, Agnew saw action in 12 games (nine starts) with Cleveland (2014), before spending time with Dallas in the offseason and the Washington practice squad the following year. He played 36 games for Southern Illinois (2009-13), graduating with a degree in business management.
