Rachel Handler

Rachel Handler is an experienced features writer and movies editor currently at New York Magazine since July 2017. Previous roles include culture writer at MTV Networks/Logo, and freelance culture journalist for esteemed outlets like Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. Rachel has also worked as a news editor for The Dissolve, managing a team and crafting columns that examined representation in the entertainment industry. As managing editor of Splash at the Chicago Sun-Times, Rachel oversaw a weekly culture magazine while conducting interviews with notable figures. Early career experience includes editing at Groupon and account management at MSL Chicago. Rachel holds a BA in English and Film from the University of Michigan.
