Katherine Leff-Castillo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mediation, community engagement, and emergency management. Currently serving as a Mediator at New York Peace Institute since July 2018, Katherine previously held leadership roles, including PTA Co-President at Tompkins Square Middle School and President of the Earth School Parents Association. In the NYC Emergency Management Department, Katherine worked as Deputy Chief, coordinating emergency responses and educating the public on preparedness. Katherine’s earlier experience includes serving as a Crisis Counselor at FEGS and a Crew Leader for the U.S. Census Bureau. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard University and Juris Doctor degrees from Georgetown University Law Center.
