At the Daily Mirror, Alex held the position of Deputy Picture Editor, overseeing a team of 20 photographers and staff, as well as responsibilities as Assistant Picture Editor. Earlier career highlights include serving as Assistant Picture Editor at the Evening Standard and freelance camera operator for Sky Sports. Alex obtained a Higher National Diploma in Professional Broadcasting from Ravensbourne University London between 1998 and 2000.
