Andrew Neuman

Senior Vice President, Public & Regulatory Affairs at New York Power Authority

Andrew Neuman has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Andrew began their career as an Attorney in the New York City Police Department, where they provided legal counsel and handled civil enforcement and nuisance abatement cases. Andrew then transitioned to the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, where they served as an Assistant District Attorney, conducting trials and managing a significant caseload.

Neuman later joined the New York City Council as Litigation and Legislative Counsel, advising council members on legislative hearings and overseeing complex litigation matters. Andrew then moved on to the Office of the Westchester County Executive, where they served as Senior Assistant to the County Executive and managed inter-governmental relations, legislative agendas, and staff.

Most recently, Neuman worked at the New York Power Authority, initially as Assistant General Counsel and later as Senior Vice President of Public & Regulatory Affairs. In these roles, they led a team of attorneys and was responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to transmission and generation assets and wholesale markets in the energy industry. Andrew also engaged with various regulatory bodies and played a crucial role in negotiating infrastructure utility projects and developing strategies in response to proposed rulemaking, disputes, and settlements.

Andrew Neuman obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Fordham University in 1990. Andrew later pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at Fordham University School of Law from 1990 to 1993.
