John Palmer

Principal Enterprise Architect at New York Power Authority

John Palmer has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. John began their career as the Director of Structured Analysis Services at Yourdon, Inc. in 1980. John later joined The Atlantic Systems Guild, Inc. as a Principal, where they worked until 1995. From 1995 to 2009, John worked at IBM Global Services in various positions, including Director of Methodology Architecture and Project Executive for CRM/Opportunity Mgt. John then established their own consultancy, Palmer Consulting, where they focused on business process management and technology domains. In 2010, they joined AIG as an AVP Senior Consultant, where they played a key role in designing and implementing enterprise business architecture capabilities. John later held positions at Chartis and AIG again, where they worked on developing integration competency centers and reference architectures. From 2016 to 2018, John worked as a Client Architect at MuleSoft. Currently, they are serving as the Principal Enterprise Architect at New York Power Authority since 2018. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, business process management, CRM, and knowledge management.

John Palmer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science from Cornell University, from 1972 to 1976. In addition, they have obtained certifications including MuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration and API Associate from MuleSoft in March 2017, and a Certified Project Manager certification from the Project Management Leadership Group in 2013.
