Brigid Bergin

Brigid Bergin is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a Senior Politics Reporter and fill-in host at New York Public Radio since August 2021, specializing in stories that empower New Yorkers in their democratic engagement. Previously, Bergin held notable positions at WNYC Radio, including Reporter covering Politics and City Hall, and General Assignment Reporter and Producer at New York Public Radio. Bergin also led a team of producers and engineers for morning drive programs at WNYC and WQXR, and worked as a local news producer for The Takeaway. With a background in communications management at JP Morgan Chase, Bergin has extensive editorial experience. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University at Albany, SUNY.
