Thomas Bono has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas currently works as a Lead Front End Engineer at New York Public Radio since September 2021. Prior to this, they were a Business Owner & Creator of a social site called wioit from November 2020 to January 2022. Thomas developed the site using React, Material UI, Firebase, and Filestack while also overseeing branding, marketing materials, social integration, and Google AdSense.

From September 2017 to September 2021, Thomas worked as a Senior Director UX Developer at Real Chemistry. In January 2017, they briefly operated their own business called Gander VR, creating a fully immersive real estate experience using virtual reality technology.

Thomas was a Consultant at UP Design from 1998 to 2009 and a Consultant at Frederick & Froberg from 1998 to 2009. At Frederick & Froberg, they worked on projects such as 3D animations for CD style guide and broadcast for Major League Baseball All-Star Game, website development for Fulkrum, and design and animation work for Hot Wheels and NBA.com.

Thomas Bono possesses a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fine Arts & Computer Graphics from the New York Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: "Maya 2020 Essential Training" from LinkedIn in March 2020, and "Maya: Fundamentals of Medical Animations" from LinkedIn in March 2020.
