Mercedes Sanchez-Moore, PhD, MBA, CGBP, CBA, OCED, serves as the Director of International Trade at the New York SBDC, responsible for the statewide management of the NYSBDC International Trade Initiative. This initiative supports New York companies in international business and trade services and is integrated within the SUNY Network. Prior experience includes roles as an International Business Development Manager at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, providing consultative export guidance to local companies. Sanchez-Moore has also worked as an International Economic Development Consultant for JobsOhio, an International Trade Manager for the City of Mentor, and held various positions focused on workforce development and small business assistance. Educational qualifications include a PhD in International Business Management and Workforce Development Education from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Capital University.
