Grant Hart

Grant Hart is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate Counsel for the New York State Senate, where responsibilities include drafting and reviewing energy, climate, and telecommunications legislation, participating in budget negotiations, and preparing policy memos. Previously, Grant held the position of Richard A. Wiebe Public Service Fellow, contributing similarly to legislative efforts. Other experience includes roles as Team Lead at Star One Events, Research Associate at the Institute for Energy and the Environment, and Legal Extern at Small Business Utility Advocates, where Grant engaged in consumer advocacy and supported legal processes. Additional roles involved providing crucial assistance at the South Royalton Legal Clinic and participating in community solar initiatives. Grant Hart holds a Master's degree and a Doctor of Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Oregon State University.
