Jellisa Joseph is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in public service and academia. Since January 2019, Jellisa has served as Counsel at the New York State Senate and previously held the position of Assistant Counsel. Concurrently, Jellisa has been an Adjunct Professor at the University at Albany, SUNY, since August 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Diversity Officer and Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Albany from January 2017 to January 2019, and as Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorneys Office from October 2014 to January 2017. Jellisa's legal internship experiences span several organizations, including NYS Senator Kevin Parker and the Albany County District Attorney's Office. Jellisa obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School (2011-2014) and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University at Albany (2007-2011).
