Jonathan Lang

Jonathan Lang is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy analysis and advocacy, particularly within the health sector. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor for the New York State Senate since January 2020, Jonathan provides legal, policy, and budget analysis for various Senate committees, with a strong focus on New York State's Medicaid system. Prior to this role, Jonathan held positions at the New York State Department of Health as a Project Coordinator and Empire State Fellow, where responsibilities included managing Medicaid program special projects. Jonathan's career began with significant contributions at the Empire State Pride Agenda, overseeing governmental projects and advocating for LGBT health and human services, followed by roles that strengthened the health network for underserved communities. Jonathan holds a Master of Public Administration from The State University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Pre-Med from Denison University.
