Alan Hughes

Alan Hughes is a seasoned law enforcement professional currently serving as a Trooper with the New York State Police since March 2015. Previously, Alan worked as a Criminal Investigator with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance from January 2012 to March 2015, focusing on investigations related to NYS Penal Law and Tax Code, with a specialization in digital investigations. Alan holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity- Intelligence and Forensics and a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security & Information Assurance: Forensics Investigations from Utica University. Additionally, Alan has extensive experience in evidence handling and digital forensics, having of worked in various capacities, including as an Evidence Technician and a Computer Forensic Analyst, contributing to internal affairs and criminal investigations. Alan has received advanced training in digital forensics through the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).
