Erika Esquivel, MS, currently serves as a Critical Time Intervention Implementation Specialist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute since August 2025. The New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), established in 1895, was one of the first institutions in the United States to integrate teaching, research and therapeutic approaches to the care of patients with mental illnesses. Since 1925, NYSPI has been affiliated with Presbyterian Hospital and the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
