Brian J. Wagner-Yeung

Chair For Neurodiversity & Accessibility at New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA)

Brian J. Wagner-Yeung is an experienced music educator and adjunct instructor with a focus on special education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Brooklyn College since June 2021, Brian teaches the Music in Special Education course. In addition, Brian holds the position of Chair for Neurodiversity & Accessibility with the New York State School Music Association since March 2020. With a long tenure at the NYC Department of Education beginning in September 2009, Brian has designed and implemented various music programs, including K-8 general music and adaptive string orchestra. Brian's orchestral group has performed at notable events, including the 2016 Brooklyn Borough Arts Festival and the 2019 Chancellor’s Town Hall for Special Education. Brian holds an Advanced Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Brooklyn College and both an MSED and BA in Music Education from Queens College.
