Amanda Velazquez

Amanda Velazquez is a Labor Relations Specialist at NYSUT since August 2013, bringing extensive experience in labor law and relations. Previously, Amanda held the position of Associate Counsel at CSEA, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCME from March 2009 to July 2013, and served as a Law Clerk at the same organization earlier in 2008. Additional experience includes a Summer Law Clerk position at the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining and a Law Clerk role at the NYS Governor's Office of Employee Relations. Amanda began the professional journey as a Legislative Intern at the New York State Assembly in 2004. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John's University.
