Katie Bennett has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Katie is currently working as the Head of Finance and Sustainability at New Zealand King Salmon, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Financial Controller at the same company from June 2022 to October 2023. Before joining New Zealand King Salmon, Katie worked as a Financial Controller at PHI International from January 2022 to June 2022. Katie also has a background in auditing, having worked as a Manager at EY from October 2017 to January 2022. Before that, they held positions as an Assistant Manager and Auditor at the same company between April 2017 and October 2017, and between February 2013 and April 2017, respectively. Katie'searlier experience includes a managerial role at Trouble & Fox from October 2011 to December 2012.

Katie Bennett completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Marketing at the Nelson Marlbourough Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting from the University of Otago between 2008 and 2011. Katie also attended Nelson College for Girls from 2005 to 2007 and Baradene College from 2001 to 2004, where the fields of study and degree names are unknown. In 2016, they obtained the Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
