Lead Adviser, Legal Division at New Zealand Foreign Affairs & Trade

Charlotte Skerten currently serves as the Lead Adviser in the Legal Division at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, a position held since July 2022. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) with Honors from Columbia University (2017-2018) and a combined LLB (Hons) and BA from the University of Otago (2007-2011). Charlotte has also contributed to legal education as a Law Tutor at the University of Otago and served as a Summer Law Clerk at Bell Gully.
