Claire Shirley

Claire Shirley has held various significant roles within the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, including Deputy Head of Mission and Programme Manager for Nauru and the North Pacific, as well as serving as a Policy Officer and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Advisor. Previously, Claire served as Future Director at Wayfare and as a Senior Research Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. Claire began their career as a Research Analyst at the New Zealand Ministry of Tourism. Academically, Claire earned a Master’s in International Relations with a focus on Political Economy from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Otago.
