James Daniel Connelly

James Daniel Connelly serves as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for HMH, a global provider of equipment, services, and technology to the oil and gas, mining, and renewable energy sectors since October 2021, previously holding the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Pressure Control Systems business line within the same company. Connelly also contributes to diplomatic relations as the New Zealand Honorary Consul-General for Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, a role held since October 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at Baker Hughes from July 2017 to October 2021 and at GE Oil & Gas from April 2012 to July 2017, as well as holding roles at Wikborg, Rein & Co., Vinson & Elkins, and the U.S. District Courts. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from South Texas College of Law Houston and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Film from The University of Texas at Austin.
