Lucy Power

Lucy Power is an experienced policy professional currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer in International Security and Disarmament at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since May 2019. Previously, Lucy held roles including First Secretary (Trade & Economic) at the New Zealand Mission to the European Union and Senior Policy Officer for Trade Negotiations, where responsibilities included developing trade remedies policy and representing New Zealand at the World Trade Organisation. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor in Communications Policy at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and various roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade focusing on trade negotiations and relations with China. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Studies from the University of Auckland.
