Daniel Kempthorne is a seasoned IT professional currently serving as the Cloud Environments Manager at NZ Post, where responsibilities include collaborating with software developers and architects to enhance cloud governance in a multi-cloud environment. Previously, Daniel founded RadOps, a software startup that developed a SaaS application for managing Major IT Incidents. As Group ICT Operations Manager at Beca, Daniel oversaw IT resources for 3300 staff across multiple countries and managed a team of technical staff while advising on strategic technology direction. Earlier roles include Infrastructure Support Manager and Systems Engineer at Massey University, where Daniel led technical teams and managed significant projects, and IT Operations Engineer at Enable New Zealand, providing comprehensive systems support. Daniel also has teaching experience as a Lecturer at UCOL and began the career as a Nerd at Need A Nerd. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology from UCOL.
