Juan Pachon

Juan Pachon is an experienced professional in project control and risk management, currently serving as the Lead Programme Risk Manager for Capital Management at KiwiRail since August 2022. Previously, Juan held the position of Project Controls Manager at Higgins from May 2019 to July 2022, and worked as a Project Engineer at Waste Management NZ Ltd between June 2017 and May 2019. Earlier roles include Senior Project Control Engineer at P&V, Project Control Engineer at CB&I, and Senior Project Engineer at JGP, demonstrating a comprehensive background in engineering and project management. Juan holds a Master of Engineering Studies in Civil Engineering from the University of Auckland and an Engineer's Degree in Civil Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito. Additionally, Juan has earned certificates in The Science of Happiness from the University of California, Berkeley, and in Astrophysics from The Australian National University.
