Claire Nichols

Claire Nichols is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community development and employment support for refugees. Currently serving as the Manager Migration Employment and the Pathways to Employment National Operational Lead at New Zealand Red Cross since August 2014, Claire leads initiatives that assist individuals from refugee backgrounds in achieving employment and career goals. As the coordinator of the Refugee Driver Training programme, Claire fosters progress for former refugees in obtaining their driving licenses. Additionally, Claire holds a trustee position at Cultural Conversations and previously founded Wandering Feet-Tours & Travel, which offers immersive travel experiences. Claire's background includes roles as a contractor for Nelson Bays Primary Health and a relationship manager at the Ministry of Social Development. Educational accomplishments include a Diploma in Kindergarten Teaching from Christchurch College of Education and a commitment to promoting cultural diversity and community capacity building.
