Will is the founder, editor, and podcast host for This Warriors Life since January 2018, and has held the role of media liaison for Canterbury Rugby League since March 2015. Additional contributions include work as a historian for New Zealand Rugby League and freelance collaborations with Palmerbet, Big League, and Man of Many. Will's journalism career began with Rugby League Review from 2010 to 2018. Will holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Otago.

New Zealand Rugby League is a not-for-profit national sports organisation charged with the growth, development and delivery of the game of rugby league in New Zealand. In addition to the New Zealand Kiwis, the New Zealand national men’s team, the Kiwi Ferns, the women’s national team and the Junior Kiwis, NZRL manages a number of elite youth teams including the NZ 16s, NZ 18s, the Taurahere and National Secondary Schools. NZRL delivers a number of annual tournaments including the award winning National Secondary Schools tournament, the National Women's and Youth tournaments and at Premier Grade the National Premiership and National Championship. For over 100 years, Rugby League has brought people together to flourish, support, grow and inspire. NZRL are continuously working to help build and empower our communities and the people within them – that’s The Kiwi Way. The Kiwi Way is how we work to implement our ‘More Than A Game’ philosophy, where we strive to transform the lives and wellbeing of our communities through rugby league. This includes running playgroups for 0-5s in clubrooms during the week, partnering with government agencies and local organisations to deliver relevant social programmes around NZ and ongoing education and training at all levels of the game.
