David Downs serves as the CEO of New Zealand Story Group, aiming to enhance the nation's reputation globally. Concurrently, Downs holds the position of Chairman at The Icehouse, Well Foundation, and Consult Recruitment, as well as serving as the Chairman of the Small Business Advisory Group to the Minister of Small Business & Manufacturing. Additional roles include being an Ambassador and Fundraiser for the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, a Trustee for the NZ Hi-Tech Awards, an Executive Chair for the Kupe Leadership Scholarship at The University of Auckland, and a Board Member for Business Events Industry Aotearoa. Downs’ educational background includes an executive program from Stanford University, a Mini-MBA in Brand Management, and multiple degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Mathematics from The University of Auckland and Massey University.
