John Robinson

John Robinson is a seasoned public sector leader with extensive experience in local government management. Currently serving as Chief Executive for Newark and Sherwood District Council since July 2018, Robinson previously held the Chief Executive position at Gedling Borough Council for a decade, from July 2008 to July 2018. Prior to these roles, Robinson spent over eleven years at Nottingham City Council, where responsibilities included Director of Environmental Services and Director of Street Scene and Neighbourhood Services. Early career experience includes a position as Senior Policy Officer at Peterborough City Council from 1991 to 1997.
