Sean Dunn

Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at NEWARK CHARTER SCHOOL

Sean Dunn has extensive work experience in the field of education and coaching. Sean started their career in 1992 as a Defensive Coach for the University of Pennsylvania's Sprint Football Team. From there, they moved on to Rowan University, where they coached Inside Linebackers and Defensive Line for two years. During their time at Rowan, they had successful seasons, including conference championships and a run to the National Championship game. In 2007, Sean joined Widener University as the Inside Linebackers Coach, where they helped the team become MAC Champs and qualify for the NCAA tournament. Sean then took a position at Kingsway Regional High School in 1999, where they became the History Department Chair, founded the Boys Lacrosse program, and taught various history courses, including AP World History and AP European History. In 2018, Sean became the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Newark Charter School. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various leadership roles and has been recognized for their contributions to the field of education and coaching.

Sean Dunn has a strong educational background, starting with their completion of the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Kingsway Regional High School from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they attended Kaplan College from 1988 to 1991, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in History. Sean's education continued at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 2024, where they obtained their Master of Arts - MA degree in World History. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Teacher of History, issued by the State of New Jersey.
