Mike Sung

Mike Sung is an experienced educator with a progressive career spanning over two decades in various roles within special education. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Newark Unified School District since August 2016, Mike focuses on teaching adult students with special needs transitional and job training skills. Previously, Mike worked as an Inclusion Support Teacher at Ravenswood City School District, where responsibilities included implementing Individualized Education Plans and collaborating on curriculum development. Early career experience includes positions as a Special Education Teacher at Hayward Unified School District and Berryessa Union School District, as well as a Math teacher at Stellar Academy School for Dyslexics. Mike holds a Master’s degree in Educational Specialist in Moderate to Severe from Brandman University, alongside multiple Level 2 Teaching Credentials and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Davis.
