Roland Tacken is an accomplished technology manager with extensive experience in microelectronics technology, process development, and project management. Currently serving as Technology Manager and Manager of Engineering at Neways Electronics International NV since September 2015, Roland has overseen new product introductions and microelectronics process development. Prior to this role, leadership was demonstrated as Sr. Project Manager at VDL Enabling Technologies Group, where project management of a roll-to-roll ALD Atomic Layer Deposition system was key. As R&D Manager at Singulus Mastering, leadership of a multidisciplinary team led to the successful maturation of the CrystalLine blu-ray mastering system. Additional experience includes positions at TNO Science & Industry focusing on electrochemistry and materials, and Toolex International, where process development for optical media was a primary focus. Educational qualifications encompass a Master’s degree in Chemical Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology, complemented by additional training at the Stan Ackermans Institute.
