Cheryl Wegner

Cheryl Wegner is a seasoned Cataloging Librarian at Newberry Library since September 2007, focusing on creating bibliographic and holdings records for monographs and continuing resources, as well as enhancing authority records for the Library of Congress authority file and providing non-MARC metadata for digital images. Prior to this role, Cheryl worked as a Librarian at Kennedy-King College from January 2005 to August 2007, where responsibilities included cataloging various resources and setting up automated serials check-in. Cheryl also served as a Cataloger at the Center for Research Libraries from February 1996 to September 2001, creating and enhancing bibliographic records for continuing resources and the United States Newspaper Program. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Chicago.
