Molia Dumbleton

Instructor Creative Writing at Newberry Library

Molia Dumbleton serves as an Adjunct Professor of Creative Writing at DePaul University and the DePaul University School of Continuing and Professional Studies since 2003, with an active role at both institutions from January 2020. Additionally, Molia is the Assistant Fiction Editor at Split Lip Magazine and a member of the Curatorial Board at the Ragdale Foundation, holding positions at The Loft Literary Center and The Newberry as an Instructor in Creative Writing. Freelance writing engagements include work for the HYDE PARK JAZZ FESTIVAL and previously for the Chicago Humanities Festival. Academic qualifications encompass an MA in Creative Writing from Northwestern University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College, an MA in Religion/Medical Ethics from Rice University, and a BA in Religion/Theater from Oberlin College.
