Marcus Smith, MBA, is a results-oriented banker with over 16 years of experience in the financial sector. Currently serving as a Special Assets Officer at NewBridge Bank since March 2008, Marcus manages a multi-million dollar portfolio of complex credit relationships in the coastal region, working to maximize economic outcomes for the bank. Previously, Marcus held the position of Vice President and Commercial Banker at Bank of the Ozarks, contributing to the opening of a DeNovo loan production office and implementing strategic plans for business development. Before that, as Vice President and Commercial Lender at BB&T, Marcus managed a loan portfolio exceeding $45 million focused on various commercial lending areas. Marcus holds an MBA from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
