Darren Smith, PMP

Darren Smith, PMP has a diverse range of work experience in project management and implementation roles. Darren is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at Newbury Partners since June 2022. Previously, from 2015 to 2022, they worked as a Sr. Director, RPO Implementation at AMN Healthcare, where they were responsible for implementing RPO solutions for healthcare clients in North America. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, Darren worked at Pontoon Solutions as a Sr. Manager, Global RPO Implementation, where they implemented large-scale US & Global RPO Solutions and provided RFP assistance for new prospects. From 2012 to 2013, Darren served as a Sr. Project Manager at IBM Business Services, managing complex client projects and increasing billable volume for HR solutions. Before that, from 2007 to 2011, they worked at IBM as a Transition Manager - HR, managing global client Taleo implementations for the HRO business unit. Darren also has experience as a Solutions Consultant at Jobster, Inc. from 2006 to 2007, where they implemented HR recruiting software for enterprise clients. Additionally, from 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Managing Consultant at Vurv Technologies, managing and delivering complex software implementation projects. Earlier in their career, from 2001 to 2004, Darren worked as a Consultant at KLM Creative, managing relationships between Sun and Service Provider partners. Darren also has experience in business development, partner management, and marketing at Viathan from 2000 to 2001, and as a Manager of Professional Services at webStrategic in 2000. Throughout their career, Darren has demonstrated expertise in project management, implementation, change management, and process improvement.

Darren Smith, PMP, holds an MBA in Marketing from City University of Seattle. Darren also attained a BA in Philosophy from Colby College. In addition to their degrees, Darren has obtained a certification in Leading Inclusive Teams from LinkedIn in January 2021.
