Mark Leigh

Mark Leigh serves as Finance Director and Company Secretary at Newbury Racecourse plc, overseeing financial operations for a business that includes 30 racedays annually, a hotel, conference and events services, and a children's nursery. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at Longleat, where responsibilities encompassed finance, IT, and commercial teams across multiple attractions and hotel businesses. Mark held various roles at Merlin Entertainments plc, culminating as Finance Director for the New Openings Division, managing financial functions for international attraction launches. Previous positions also include Senior Financial Controller at Aviva and Financial Controller at RAC, among others. Mark holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Leicester, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business & Management Practice from Kingston University, and is a qualified CGMA/ACMA.
