Markus Winter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in consumer culture and innovation management across various sectors. As the Founder and Co-CEO of Yuzu Kyodai since September 2017, Markus focuses on addressing contemporary issues within consumer culture in the APAC region. In July 2023, Markus took on the role of Country Manager at Newby Teas, the world's most-awarded tea company. Additionally, Markus serves as an Adjunct Faculty Lecturer at Hosei University and has a background in research and innovation from the Japan Innovation Network and ISO, where contributions to the ISO 56000 standard on Innovation Management were made. Prior to these roles, Markus worked as a Research Associate at The Economist, gaining valuable insights into business intelligence and event management. Markus holds a Ph.D. (ABD) in Public Policy & Trade from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies and has degrees in Public Policy and European Studies.

We protect our teas in specially designed multi-layer packaging for extra freshness, taking the leaves from garden to pack in as little as three months - a quarter of the time of many tea companies.
