David Martinez Hernandez

David Martinez Hernandez is currently the Women's 1st Team Lead Sports Scientist at Newcastle United Football Club since September 2023. Prior to this role, David worked as the Women's 1st Team Strength and Conditioning Coach/ Sport Scientist at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and the Women's 1st Team Lead Physical Performance Coach at Bristol City Football Club. David also has experience as an Assistant Coach U16 at Cardiff City Ladies FC and as a Sport Science/ Strength and Conditioning Coach at Cardiff City Ladies FC. David's educational background includes a Master's degree in Strength and Conditioning from Cardiff Metropolitan University and currently pursuing a PhD in change of direction enhancement in soccer at The University of Salford.
