Scott Pearce

Scott Pearce has a diverse work experience in the field of sports science and coaching. Scott currently works as the Lead Academy Sports Scientist at Newcastle United Football Club since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Academy Physical Performance Coach at Sunderland AFC from April 2020 to December 2021. Scott also has experience working as a Module Lead at the University of Sunderland in February-April 2020. Scott has worked with the Foundation of Light (SAFC) as an RTC Physical Performance Coach and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach from October 2018 to April 2020. Scott has also served as the Head of Performance at the Chinese Taipei Football Association from October 2017 to September 2018. Additionally, they have worked as an Athletic Development/Football Coach at Monkwearmouth Academy from August 2017 to July 2018. Scott'searlier roles include being a First Team Sports Scientist, Academy Lead Sports Scientist, and Academy Sports Scientist at Sunderland AFC from 2006 to 2017.

Scott Pearce has a Master of Science degree in Performance Coaching from the University of Stirling, which they obtained between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Applied Sports Science with Coaching from Northumbria University from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Scott has obtained several certifications including Chartered Scientist (CSci) from THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF SPORT AND EXERCISE SCIENCES in 2023, UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Awards, The FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching, Fitness Trainers Award, and BWLA Instructors Award.
